Set it and forget it with Automatic Recurring Payments. Recurring Payments are monthly recurring payments that are withdrawn once a month at your selected date from your primary payment method. To set up your Monthly Recurring Payments, follow the steps below:
- From your dashboard, click on Payments at the top.
- If you don't have a primary payment method yet, click on the Set Up Primary Payment Method button and fill out the details accordingly, as your recurring charges will be processed with this method, then click Set up Recurring Payments.
- Select your next recurring billing date (you will be charged on this date every month–e.g. 1st of the month) and enter your charges accordingly.
- Click on Save.
- Once you save your recurring payments, your account will be Pending.
If you save your billing date on the last day of the month, it will be processed on the last day of the month given (e.g. May 31st, June 30th, July 31st, etc.).
If you set an end billing date, your automatic payments will be disabled on that day. If your end billing date is the same day as their recurring billing date, the payment will be processed and then their payments will be disabled.
Note: Some property managers prefer their residents to be on recurring payments to avoid late fees, but recurring payments are not required. Please discuss with your property manager to avoid late penalty fees. Late fees are charged by Property Managers in certain cases and not by RentMoola. Check your rental agreement for details.
Editing Recurring Payments
To edit your recurring payments, click on Payments again and click on edit in the Recurring Payments box. From there you can make changes to the payment amount as well as your payment date, by clicking Edit.
Please note, that any changes to your recurring payments will set your account to a Pending state until your property manager accepts your new payment details.
