If a tenant has moved out, they are being evicted, or simply no longer wish to have payments set up, you are able to do a few things to ensure that no further payments will process.
Contents
Stopping recurring payments will disable any automatic recurring monthly payments that have been set up on the tenant’s account. To do this:
- Search the tenant’s name on your home dashboard.
- Click the tenant’s name.
- On the tenant’s page, click Stop Recurring Payments on the left under Actions.
Disabling a tenant’s payments will unlink them from the property they have been paying toward. This will also remove them as a tenant on your property manager account. If your tenant has or is moving out and has no more payments to make, you can disable their payments by:
- Search the tenant’s name on your home dashboard.
- Click the tenant’s name.
- On the tenant’s page, click Disable Payments on the left under Actions.
If you would like to temporarily block a tenant from making bank account payments:
- Search the tenant’s name on your home dashboard.
- Click the tenant’s name.
- In the first box on the right entitled Payment Settings, check the box next to Block this resident from making bank account payments.
- Click Save.
This will prevent the tenant from making any payments with their bank account until you chose to lift the block. Tenants will still be able to make payments with credit card.
